NYU Shanghai students, faculty, and staff have access to the same e-resources and digital collections available through our library in NYC. In addition to these shared resources, the NYU Shanghai Library provides access to a growing collection of 37,000 physical books, periodicals and media materials, and a select number of financial terminals and online subscriptions that are exclusively available to members of the NYU Shanghai community. Bloomberg, Financial Terminal
  • Bloomberg is a terminal-bound financial services platform that provides analysis and quotes for equities (stocks) and indices, company and economic data for the countries of the world, real-time and historical industry and market news, and advanced analytical and data functions. It is an industry standard in the financial services and investment banking industries.

Wind, Financial Terminal
  • Wind Financial Terminal covers stocks, bonds, commodities, foreign exchange, funds, indices, warrants, asset management, quantification, news, macro and many other varieties, providing timely and complete financial data and business data information in China.

  • Apply for Wind remote access Please note that only NYU Shanghai students (including NYU Stern-NYU Shanghai Joint Programs) studying remotely or faculty working remotely for a whole semester are eligible to apply.
Financial Times
  • Financial Times (FT) is a British daily newspaper printed in broadsheet and published digitally that focuses on business and economic current affairs, covering domestic and international news, editorial commentary on politics and economics from FT journalists and financial data and news about companies and markets. 
  • No registration required. You can also download the app and read the news on your smartphone or tablet.
H&T慧思拓
  • H&T is only available in Chinese. It is a Chinese social listening platform, which collects news from mainstream newspapers and blog posts from social media in mainland China, and monitors public opinions and public sentiment on hot issues with the functions of content analysis and one-stop report builder. It only opens to NYU Shanghai students, faculty and staff. (Donated)

CADAL (China Academic Digital Associative Library)
  • CADAL is a collaborative digitization project among libraries in China and other countries, sponsored by the Ministry of Education of China (MOE), the National Science Foundation of USA and the India Academy of Sciences, including nearly 2 million ebooks, 160,000+ periodicals, 190,000+ newspapers, 160,000+ theses & dissertations, 110,000+ multimedia resources and 120,000+ special collection items (Oversea Remittance, Manchuria Railway Profiles, Local Chronicles, Living Materials in Special Era, etc). The publication years are from ancient times to present.
