The Sponsored Borrower Request is intended for individuals affiliated with NYU Shanghai who require borrowing privileges from the NYU Shanghai Library's circulating print collections. Current NYU students and employees (faculty and staff) who already have library borrowing privileges do not need to submit this request.
- The request must be signed by an NYU Shanghai department Head, Director, or Dean and is subject to approval by the Library Director.
- The sponsor assumes full responsibility for the sponsored borrower’s library account and activities, including ensuring that all borrowed materials are returned and any outstanding fines or fees are resolved prior to off-boarding. Failure to resolve library account obligations may affect future sponsorship requests.
- Access requested through this form is not automatically renewable. If access is needed beyond the approved end date, a new request must be submitted.
- Borrower privileges do not include Interlibrary Loan, access to electronic resources, library study room reservations, or other restricted services.
- By submitting this request, the individual agrees to comply with NYU Shanghai and NYU Shanghai Library policies and regulations.
