Call for Proposal

The Call for Proposals for the upcoming 2026 Sino-Foreign Joint Venture University Library & APBSLG Conference is now open. The deadline for submitting a proposal is Friday, August 7, 2026. Submission requirements and process are outlined below.

Submission Formats

We invite submissions aligned with the conference theme and related topics, including innovative ideas, forward-looking perspectives, research findings, evidence-based solutions, emerging insights from ongoing projects or pilot programs, and case studies or best practices that address key challenges, opportunities, and effective approaches.

When submitting a proposal, the presenter(s) should select the presentation format that best suits their content:

  • Presentation (15 minutes): Share completed or well-developed work that highlights research findings, best practices, or case studies. Explain the methods used and encourage discussion about the topic and its related issues. 
  • Lightning Talk (7 minutes): Share a key idea, innovation, project, or lesson learned in a brief, engaging presentation that highlights practical insights and sparks discussion.
  • Poster: Use visual materials to present a project, initiative, process, or results, whether completed or still in progress. Show that the work has reached a meaningful stage of development, and focus on the key lessons and insights that conference participants can learn from your example. 

Artificial Intelligence Policy

The use of generative AI tools must be fully disclosed in accordance with APA Journals policy on generative AI: Additional guidance. Presentations/Posters must be authored and co-authored by humans; AI tools may only be used to support the author’s own ideation, critical thinking, and creative processes. AI support should be acknowledged/disclosed in a statement at the end of their submission if there is any use of AI.

Submission Guidelines

  • We encourage more community members to submit proposals and share their ideas. Generally, one author should submit no more than 2 proposals. Additionally, for the same initiative/project, only one form/format of contribution will be considered.
  • Abstract length should be a minimum of 200 words and should not exceed 500 words (regardless of format).
  • Only submissions in English will be considered, in line with the official language of the conference.

Proposal deadline: Friday, August 7, 2026, at 23:59 (China Standard Time).
Notification of Acceptance: Early September 2026.
