A national probability sample survey conducted in PR China in 1996 in both urban and rural areas as part of the project "Life Histories and Social Change in Contemporary China," A survey of village leaders was also carried out using the same questionnaire. The site provides access to the data, bibliography, and codebooks to the study as well as the online analysis.

Chinese Health and Family Life Survey

A collaborative project of the University of Chicago/NORC; Renmin University, Beijing; Peking Union Medical College, Beijing; and the University of North Carolina. The study produces a baseline set of results on sexual behavior and disease patterns, using a nationally representative probability sample. Topics include childhood sexual contact, intimate partner violence, forced sex, sexual harassment, body image concerns, sexual well-being, and sexually transmitted diseases and risk behavior.

China Migrant Population Monitoring Survey Data/中国流动人口动态监测调查数据

China Migrants Dynamic Survey (CMDS) is an annual large-scale nationwide sample survey of the migrant population conducted by the National Health Commission since 2009, covering 31 provinces and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. The annual sample size is nearly 200,000 households, covering basic demographic information of the floating population and family members, the scope and trend of mobility, employment and social security, income and expenditure and residence, basic public health services, marriage and family planning services management, children's mobility and education, and psychological culture. It also includes a survey on social integration and mental health of the mobile population, a survey on health and family planning services in outflow areas, and a survey on medical and health services for the mobile elderly.
